In the Akademie für Tonkunst we offer Two special courses that give children access to music in a variety of ways - from the first months of life up to the first school years.

Parent-child groups: Growing up musically together
For the little ones, from the age of 12th month of lifeour parent-child groups offer a wonderful opportunity to experience music as an integral part of everyday life. Children and their accompanying adults - whether Parents, Grandparents, Aunts or uncles - can make music, sing and dance together here. The integration of music into everyday life supports language development, promotes fine motor skills and creates important initial social experiences.
There are still free places for the morning courses at 10 o'clock - an ideal opportunity for families to enjoy a musical start to the day.

music.space.tonkunst - DEIN KLANG: Musical development for 2nd and 3rd graders
The academy has launched a new course for slightly older children: music.space.tonkunst - YOUR SOUNDspecially designed for 2nd and 3rd grade pupils is designed. This course is a great opportunity to discover the world of music in a creative way. Children not only learn musical basics, but also have the opportunity to find their own "sound" - be it by experimenting with instruments or by developing their own musical ideas.
This course is a valuable addition to our established programmes for younger children and is aimed at those who want to go into more depth in a playful way.

Why music is so valuable for children
Numerous studies show that music lessons support children's development in a variety of ways. Music promotes the Language competencestrengthens the Memory and trains the Concentration. But it is also a medium through which children learn, Express feelings and get in touch with each other. Making music together strengthens social skills such as listening, working together and responding to others.
Music also stimulates motor development. By playing instruments and dancing to music, children improve their motor skills. Fine and gross motor skills.
