Professor title awarded to Richard Staab. Congratulations!

Our long-time voice teacher and dedicated colleague Richard Staab has been awarded the title of professor by the State of Hesse as part of his teaching at the Wiesbaden Academy of Music. We congratulate Prof. Staab from the bottom of our hearts and look forward to continuing to benefit from his singing and teaching expertise in Darmstadt.

Prof. Staab is a sought-after singer and singing teacher. From 1979 he received his pedagogical and artistic training at the Musikhochschule Heidelberg-Mannheim. Further studies followed with Prof. Rudolf Piernay (London/Mannheim) and from 1995 with Cornelius L. Reid (New York) with numerous study visits to New York. He gained his first teaching experience in 1984 at various music schools, and his pupils won several prizes in "Jugend musiziert" at state and national level. In 1996 he took on a teaching position at the Mannheim Music Academy. Since 1998 he has been teaching at the Wiesbaden Music Academy. He has been associated with our house as an experienced lecturer since 2001. His students are now successful as concert and opera singers and sing at opera houses throughout Europe.
