INMM spring conference comes to an end / AfT prominently represented

The annual spring meeting of the Institute for New Music and Music Education came to an end on Saturday after four eventful days. An exciting series of lectures, courses for teachers, workshops for children and young people and concerts brought together renowned composers, musicologists and teachers for an intensive professional exchange under the umbrella of the Academy.

This year, the cooperation between the Institute and our house was once again expanded: students and members of the administration were able to present themselves in the Friday concert with works by Michael Maierhof and James Saunders under the direction of composition lecturer Arne Gieshoff.

We look forward to intensifying our cooperation in the coming months and years and thank the Board, especially Robin Hoffmann, and the Executive Director Margret Poore for their productive collaboration.

Not to forget the good spirits of the Academy who support the running of the conference in the background: Masahiro Nishio, Mona Lich, Jolanta Spengler, Peter Arendt, Katharina Busch, Ute Frangenberg and Katharina Weiß. A big thank you to them as well!
