Winners of the Princess Margaret of Hesse competition

After two intensive rounds, this year's Margaret von Hessen Competition at the University of Cooperative Education came to an end on Friday 24 November. The competition offers students the opportunity to earn prize money and performance opportunities with challenging repertoire in order to establish a professional network. This year, several scholarships from the Konzerthaus Blaibach will once again give students the opportunity to perform at this iconic venue. The high number of participants and the outstanding quality of the contributions are testament to our highly active artistic student community and the high quality of teaching. 

 

We congratulate the following award winners:

Darin Lambrev (violoncello), Yun-Huan Chen (harp), Mateusz Kowalski (guitar)

and Jialu Yang (composition)

 

Sponsorship prizes were awarded to:

Valentin Novak (guitar), Alcedo Zerpa Canas (flute), Dakei Wei and Yifan Yao (tenor and piano / duo competition), Yaxin Fang and Esther Park (shared sponsorship prize / piano) and Emanuel Reichert-Lübbert (composition)
