Atmospheric Advent concert in St Ludwig's with the choirs of the music school

The choirs of the music school set the mood for Advent with a rousing concert in the domed church. Works from several centuries got the audience singing along. The lively ensemble was once again complemented by the brilliant Jorin Sandau on the organ. A solo quintet of pupils from Akademie für Tonkunst made their debut with a Swedish folk tune, followed by Choir 2.0 with a psalm setting by Alessandro Scarlatti. The young singers joined the adult choir for further Christmas choral pieces, sensitively accompanied by Academy student Andreas Hagin. At the end, all the choirs joined in to sing the traditional Christmas carol "Nun freut euch, ihr Christen". The audience thanked them with warm applause.
