This year's Darmstadt Music Prize, awarded by the Darmstädter Förderkreis Kultur e.V., goes to our piano colleague Prof Sun-Young Nam. The music prize is endowed with 5,000 euros, donated by Sparkasse Darmstadt, and is associated with a prizewinner's concert. The musician and journalist Samba Gueye will receive the 2024 Music Prize scholarship of 2,000 euros. The jury for this prestigious prize is made up of representatives from Darmstadt's cultural institutes (IMD, INMM, Akademie für Tonkunst, Staatstheater, Jazzinstitut and Centralstation). The award ceremony with a public concert is planned for Wednesday, 17 April 2024. Congratulations to both artists!
