100 years of Akademie für Tonkunst in municipal sponsorship

Although the academy was founded in 1851, the foundation for today's successful model was laid in 1922 when it became a municipal institution. At the anniversary party on 20 November, the music students and lecturers pulled out all the stops, from classical music to DJ sounds. Mayor Jochen Partsch was impressed by the event: "Culture is the pound that has always lifted Darmstadt up, even in difficult times". Ad multos annos!
