Minju Lee was born in Seoul (South Korea) in 1986. She studied orchestral music (diploma) with Prof Olga Nodel at the Mainz University of Music and chamber music (additional diploma) with Prof Susanne Rabenschlag at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts. She gained valuable experience as a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie and as a member of the Wiesbaden Hessian State Orchestra's academy/temporary contract as well as working as a substitute with the Bonn Classical Philharmonic Orchestra, the Wiesbaden State Theatre, the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, the Mainz State Theatre and the Darmstadt Court Orchestra. In addition to her work as an orchestral musician, she has also played a wide range of chamber music. She has attended various masterclasses with Prof. Roman Nodel, Prof. Joshua Epstein, Prof. Ingolf Turban and for chamber music at the Thuringian Summer Academy, Festival Vielseitig. Since 2024 she has been teaching violin, viola and chamber music at the Akademie für Tonkunst Darmstadt.
