An eventful year with many concerts and projects came to an end on 16 December with three Christmas concerts in the large concert hall of our academy. It was a showcase for all departments: In addition to choirs, orchestras and chamber ensembles from the music school, students from the vocational academy presented themselves as soloists, but also as accompanists for the very youngest students. In addition to musical contributions, the programme included farewells and words of thanks for deserving colleagues: ensemble members presented Gabriele Wegner, Claudia Nicolai, Hans-Jürgen Höfele and Martin Walz with warm words of thanks and personal gifts. At the "Wild Christmas Reception" that followed, the guests sang and danced over biscuits and sparkling drinks. A special highlight was the performance of the newly founded International Choir with a Ukrainian Christmas carol - a co-operation with our partners from PaSo.
The Akademie für Tonkunst team wishes everyone a peaceful time and a good start to the new year!
